Grandma got diagnosed Leukemia in 2016, since then she has spent a major amount of time at the hospital to do chemotherapy. She was the one who survived the longest through that chemotherapy section. Documenting her last journey was a way for me to escape - escaping the reality that we didn't have much time left together. In 2020, I flew back to Taiwan during the pandemic to see her one last time, but on the seventh day of my quarantine, she passed away. I was five minutes left before her heart stopped beating. I would never forget the last time I hugged her was in between the elevator door saying goodbye.
I will always remember my grandma, 陳愛昭, her smile and her kind heart.
Treasure the ones you love.
